Troopers on patrol at 11:10 p.m. on Friday, April 16 checked on the welfare of a driver, 31-year-old New Rochelle resident Jessica Ryan, on Westchester Avenue in White Plains when her vehicle was found stopped in the middle of the roadway.
According to police, Ryan, age 31, was intoxicated at the time she was approached by troopers, and she was taken into custody without further incident.
At State Police headquarters in Tarrytown, it was determined that Ryan had a BAC of .25 percent, more than triple the legal limit. Ryan was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and released to a sober third party.
Following her release, Ryan was issued a ticket to return back to the City of White Plains Court on Friday, April 30 to respond to the DWI charge.
